Carole's Porcelain Doll Studio
A Doll Making Journey
In 2002 a lovely lady whose name I can no longer recall came to Roma a remote outback Queensland town, to hold a porcelain doll making workshop I became interested as I had been dressmaking for family and friends for years.
After making my first doll I decided that the actual doll making was not for me and that I was only going to do the dressing stage. This thought process didn't last too long and I was soon trying to learn as much as I could.
During the years from 2002 to 2007 I joined the Doll Artisan Guild and their quarterly magazine fuelled my passion and what would become my addiction. I also attended numerous workshops and classes with the culmination being teachers certificates in both antique and modern porcelain doll making. Certificates I have received from the Artisan Guild are:-
 2007 Master of Doll Making
2010 Grand Master of Doll Making in Antique
2011 Grand Master of Doll Making in Modern
2012 Triple Crown of doll Making
2016 Award of Excellence

In 2016 I retired from full time work , remarried and moved to a small coastal town in Queensland where we build a doll studio which is open daily from 9.30am to 3.00pm and lessons are available.
